Wow, it feels like I just wrote the last one of these last week, but no, it’s been almost a month now. Things haven’t changed for me, still writing, still enjoying the storyline, still loving the giant puppa, still studying; still trucking along. I haven’t written a lot, to be frank- see last week’s post to read more about that one.
This month has absolutely flown by, I’ve been trucking along as usual. I am thinking of changing the monthly updates to quarterly, as they’re becoming a struggle- mostly because my life is ridiculously boring and repetitive with little to no deviation. Which kinda makes me want to change it up and do something different more often, alas between work, training, and writing- spare time in which to explore seems to escape me. I know it’s a matter of making time, but hey I say in the about me page that procrastination is a special skill of mine ;D
Something I have done is enjoy the release of the “fall” lineup (Seriously, it’s spring here…). All my annual American shows are starting up again, so I’ve been watching the odd episode *coughallofthem* to start me off. If you’re curious about what I’m watching keep reading this paragraph, if not skip below to where I talk about reading and books ^.^ Okay, so I’ve been watching Criminal Minds, NCIS, the Big Bang Theory, Rick and Morty (quality content!), Bull, Lethal Weapon, and… the Nanny. Yup, you read that correctly! I have just finished binge-watching the Nanny (that brilliant show from the 90s that stars a Jewish New Yorker desperate to get married). Let me just say that my partner is relieved that the torture is finally over and he is free of that nasal voice. I seriously love those shows- friends, the nanny etc. Blasts from my past. And I just noticed that Lucifer starts on Monday. You all know from my finale post that this is cause for celebration! *fangirl scream*
As for books, where do I begin? Well I have read Kelley Armstrong’s Missing (again), Kelley Armstrong’s Rituals (the final book in the Cainsville series… and boy does she deliver on the last four books worth of loops… Seriously I cannot recommend enough!), Meg Cabot’s 1800 where-are-you series (again.. can’t get enough of that ya fiction yo!), and I’ve just started Peter Brett’s The Painted Man (also known as the Warded Man in America). I’m about 20 pages in and I am HOOKED! With my style of writing, this book is super inspiring for Hybrid. It makes me want to delve into my world even further. So this book might end up being the reason I get words down for the trilogy challenge! Heh, thanks, Peter!
You may have noticed that I listed two Kelley Armstrong books. There is a reason for that- she’s incredible. Simple as that, Kelley Armstrong is amazing, I bow down to her greatness.
That’s about it for this month, I’m sure I’m missing books and shows, but c’est la vie, there is always next month! haha
[TLDR: I’m lazy.. but own it =)]
As always, go write something!
