June Update

Here is my June update. I did F*ck all.

No seriously. I really don’t feel like I did all that much. I celebrated my birthday and got very excited for Dragon dictation (I lost my voice after my last post so I haven’t been able to play with it recently ='( but I can’t wait to get back to it). That really feels like it was about it.

In writing news, I haven’t pushed myself too much due to a lot of hours at work and my being sick. But I have managed to get Hybrid up past 111k words this month with more to come! (I’m very excited) The other aspect for the writing side of my life is my planning a short story prequel that I am planning to give away (reader magnet). I had a lot of trouble deciding on who to write about and what period to set it in… I started with two choices: Yeve and Crael – their love story or something like it, or Braekon’s history – life before Gryphon. At this stage I’m looking at writing a short story about Braekon’s life- the first line MAY or may NOT be internal dialogue from him: time is beginning to drag.

In Hybrid news, I am getting to the point of getting ready to send the first chunk out to beta readers! So keep a weather eye on my socials which is where I will post it all around when I am ready for the next round ^.^ I am currently adding to chapter’s 22, 23 and 24 at the moment then I believe all my serious additions for the middle part of the book will be made and I can move on to revising and reconnecting this part of the story to the next =D

My socials are climbing, so thanks to everyone who has followed me on Twitter, Instagram or found me on facebook! =D I have been organising and sorting out my newsletter so that I can reach y’all personally.

On marketing, I have organised with a local bookstore for them to stock my book which is hugely exciting!!! One of my big goals is to see my book on a shelf in a store, so knowing that that can (and will) be done in a timely fashion after the release of Hybrid. I am super duper excited for this ^.^
